A photograph is finished in the waiting — the building holds still, the maker does not.
I work slowly, mostly alone, and always on location. For architecture that means scouting a building at two times of day before committing to one; for portraits it means staying long enough that people forget to perform their own job. The frame count stays low on purpose. Thirty-six exposures is a discipline, not a limitation.
Commissions usually begin with a walk — through the building, the workshop, the rehearsal. You point at things; I take notes. A fortnight later you receive a small, edited set: every image usable, none interchangeable. Archival prints are made by Lichtdruk in Rotterdam, and I check every proof.
Exteriors and interiors, scouted at two light times. Edited set of 20–30, print-ready.
